Personnel: David Gilmour :: Nick Mason :: Roger Waters :: Richard Wright. .

Notes: Tis is the definitive Antwerp 1977 concert release. If you have previosly purchased " ANIMALS IN BELGIUM " G.R 652/653) you have the recording from Paris,22 February 1977.

Thirteen is the debut silver release of Pink Floyd’s February 20th, 1977 show in Antwerp, Belgium on the Animals tour. Godfather use the common tape in circulation, an audience recording which has good to very good sound. Although most of the show is present there are several noticeable cuts.

Antwerp is an uneven but interesting and satisfying Pink Floyd show and it’s nice to have it on a silver release. Godfather originally planned on releasing this show in the springtime, but made a mistake by using one of the Paris tapes instead (a common misconception). The did a good thing by finally offering the correct show and correct sleeves for the shows which are both worth having

*** European Tour 1973 ***

Personnel: Jimmy Page :: John Paul Jones :: Robert Plant :: John Bonham.

Notes: Led Zeppelin’s Munich show on their 1973 tour was never pressed on vinyl but received circulation in the mid nineties on titles such as Lunatics In Munich (Holy Grail HGCD 102/3) and Olympiahalle 1973 (Immigrant IM-022~23). The last two titles to feature this tape were released several weeks apart in late 1999, Pure Percy (Flagge) and Storm Und Drang (LedNote LCD-1503A/B). Both of these were upgrades over the older titles. Tarantura is the first silver release of this show since and is a slight upgrade over LedNote. The sound quality is very clear with the emphasis upon the high frequencies with a very thin bass and no hiss. Tarantura increased the volume slightly compared to LedNote making the tape slightly more clear and enjoyable. There are small cuts in the introduction, after “Bron-Yr-Aur Stomp,” “Dazed And Confused” and at 5:58 in “Heartbreaker” with very little music lost.<- taken from original nfo file">.

Notes: This was the very first Pink Floyd concert in Japan. Echoes consists of two fragments only. The running order of the songs also seems to be incorrect. A more complete tape of this show exists, but is not circulated.
Regarding the great sound quality, I'd still recommend this one to all those who love the early Floyd stuff

Young has been playing The Beatles’ Sgt. Pepper classic, A Day In The Life, as his encore closer in recent shows. A Day In The Life was primarily John Lennon’s composition, but McCartney contributed the upbeat middle section, ‘Woke up, fell out of bed, dragged a comb across my head… At the beginning of that point in the song, Young turned sideways, looking offstage. As the band played the steady thumping beat, McCartney ran out to the cheers and surprise of the fans, stood alongside Neil and sang the rest of the song. Young played the ‘orchestral climax’ section on his guitar, adding sustained feedback and general chaos, finally ripping his guitar strings and singing the eerie ‘ahhh, ahh ahh ahh,’ vocal chorus. The crowd went suitably nuts. To end the song, after the final chord, Young and McCartney walked over to the xylophone onstage and ponked a few whimsical last notes.

From grunge to rock to mid-tempo ballads, Neil Young drew them out and entertained the crowd with a pleasing set. A minor quibble: with many songs from the Harvest album, one would have wished that Young had added Out On The Weekend as well. Thanks to tbugsett who recorded and shared the tracks on the Dime site. tbugsett noted: “I was very close to one of the (speaker) stacks and Rick’s bass was more felt in the chest than actually heard. The ground felt almost like an earthquake… Hence the recording is very bass-heavy. I thought for a bit of doing some eq before uploading but decided in the end against it as this is a more true replica of how it sounded

The Arizona tape used in this release by Godfather has long been in circulation and is an excellent quality well balanced soundboard recording. - Godfather uses judicious mastering on the already excellent soundboard tape resulting in a very noticeable expansion of the soundstage. This also helps to separate all the instruments which results in a recording which makes you feel like you are onstage with the band

*** Open Your Eyes Tour ***

Personnel: Jon Anderson :: Steve Howe :: Billy Sherwood :: Chris Squire :: Alan White :: Igor Khoroshev.

Notes: When Yes released Open Your Eyes in November 1997 they toured for almost a solid year with very little breaks between the various legs. The final five dates were in Japan opening with two, on October 8th and October 9th, in Tokyo.

These were Yes’ first gigs in Japan since the end of the Talk tour four years before and the first time they played the Shibuya Kohkaido since 1973. When the tour began on October 17th, 1997 in Hartford, Connecticut the setlist was very ambitious with the expected hits including two from the Trevor Rabin era, solo sections for all the members, “The Revealing Science Of God,” three songs from the new album and even “Children Of Light” from Keys To Ascension II. “No Way We Can Lose” was dropped after the first night (and played only one more time the following July), and by the time they came to Japan both “From The Balcony” and “Children Of Light” disappeared.

The sets they played in Japan aren’t exactly stripped back (the two Tokyo shows are both over two hours long), but it seems they lost faith in the newer material after the album failed to sell and the show reverted into a greatest hits revue. It is a shame they didn’t work the new songs more since, despite the critics, there were many good ideas which could have taken new life on stage. Regardless, after these five shows Yes would meet up again in Vancouver to work on the brilliant The Ladder album and tour.

Evening Sunburst 1998 on Highland collects two excellent quality DAT recordings from the opening night. This is one of several releases from this tour and one of the better ones in terms of sound quality, performance, and relevance.

Notes 2: During Howe acoustic guitar segments some whistles and yells can be heard in both Relayerman and Bakeman recordings but not heard well in Alternate Atlanta. * Wakeman solo includes segments from 6 Wives and Wonderous Stories. * Rick Wakeman transitions from his solo to a segment of And You And I, accompanied by Jon on vocals. * Whitefish includes segments from: Tempus Fugit, On The Silent Wings Of Freedom and Soundchaser.* Track x01 Firebird Suite contains only part two of the Firebird Suite. * Set One fits on one CD if Track X01 is used instead of Track 101. * Set Two fits on one CD if Tracks 201, 202 and 210 are omitted.

Relayerman Notes about the show: 1) The weak keyboards after Firebird are because Steve's amp wasn't working (he couldn't start Siberian Khatru as usual) so Rick decided to do some keyboard work. Normally Steve would have come right in after Firebird finished. Rick's keys just weren't up in the mix.
2) The sound men got the stage sound right around the last half of Siberian Khatru as you might notice a slight change in volume. That wasn't me, that was the sound guys.
3) Chris' bass had problems in Heart Of The Sunrise so you'll notice it's absent during some parts. Rick took up the slack some with keyboards.
4) Laughing at beginning of The Fish is due to Chris 'straightening his cuffs', kind of like saying 'ok, now I'm ready'.
5) Near the end of Roundabout there is a whistle. A young guy jumped up on stage and took off his shirt and started dancing. This swiftly came to a halt as some burly stage hands ran after him in front of the band. It was funny. Enjoy!.

Personnel: Bruce Springsteen - vocals, all guitars, harmonica, piano on "For You" :: Garry Tallent - bass, tuba :: Danny Federici - organ, accordian :: Clarence Clemons - sax :: David Sancious - piano :: Ernest "Boom" Carter - drums.

Notes: "A wonderful, essential-to-have, early period show." --Brucebase ----- This is the version of the E Street Band that recorded Springsteen's anthem, "Born to Run," in 1974. The 'Born to Run' album features a different line-up in which David Sancious was replaced by Roy Bittan and rnest Carter was replaced by Max Weinberg. Steve Van Zandt would not become an official ember until the Born to Run tour and Patti cailfa and Nils Lofgren did not join until the Born n the USA tour, ten years later. Wild Billy's ircus Story starts the show in a stripped down arrangement reminiscent of Springteen's 73 in-studio radio performances. The version of New York City Serenade is, in my opinion, the ingle greatest live rendition of the song ever captured on tape. For You is presented in a breath-taking solo piano rendition. ESSENTIAL LISTENING for fans of early Springsteen.<-(from original info file).

Notes:  •Audience recording, excellent stereo sound.  •Multiple IEM sources were matrixed with an audience source to complete this incredible recording. The audience recording was released separately under the XAVEL-213 label. •The "SMS" in the label name stands for "Silver Masterpiece Series". •Disc 2, tracks 12-14 are bonus tracks from Aichi Prefectural Gymnasium, in Nagoya, Japan performed on June 18, 2013. The inclusion of these tracks are meant to have a complete record of all the songs the band played on their 2013 Japan tour. These three tracks were not performed at the Tokyo show, but were performed on the other dates. •Disc 2, track 15 is from the pre-show Soundcheck at the Tokyo Dome. It mostly consists of Dave strumming an acoustic guitar and practicing Japanese. He does start Ice Cream Man near the end of the track.

Front cover shows a background of the Tokyo Dome exterior in red and black along with a portion of the Japan Naval flag above. A gray scale image of Dave and Edward is superimposed over top. The VH logo and show title appear centered in the upper half of the cover. •The inside of the booklet contains a bunch of gray scale shots of the band, and of the venue. Some are promo shots not directly related to this specific show, while others are from this show.  •The back of the booklet contains the rest of the Tokyo Dome and Naval flag image from the front. A VH logo is present, along with details about the recording. •The under-tray image has a black background. The red and black image of the Tokyo Dome appears in a centered gold circle, with a gold VH logo over top. •The rear artwork continues the same Tokyo Dome and Naval flag theme, but now contains an image of the band from the end of a show. *** Opening for the Ramones ***

Personnel: Joan Jett - guitar, vocals :: Lita Ford - guitar, vocals :: Vicki Blue - bass, vocals :: Sandy West - drums.

Notes: The band played at the Palladium (nee the Academy of Music), a much larger venue, opening for the Ramones on January 7, 1978. [The Runaways, Palladium, 1978] Our seats were pretty far back, and the gig was great for a theater show, One of things I remember the most about this concert was an incident involving the intermission. As the lights went down after the Runaways finished their set and we waited for the Ramones, suddenly the intermission music started, which was the opening chords of Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony. The audience became suddenly very tensely quiet, waiting… When it became clear it was really Beethoven’s Fifth, and not the dreadful Walter Murphy travesty, "A Fifth of Beethoven," the audience gave a huge sigh of relief and the conversations started once again. We were punks, but we were not ignorant masochists. (info taken from

Exactly one week after this show was performed at New York's Palladium theater by America's all-female punk band, the Runaways, the Sex Pistols performed their final show before disbanding at Winterland in San Francisco. It was somehow appropriate that both the key male and female punk bands were breaking down at the same time, because in just over a year, the Runaways would be history, too. This performance, although pretty rockin', shows a band that was in the early stages of falling apart. The initial major-label line up which included singer Cherrie Curie, bassist Jackie Fox, drummer Sandy West, and guitarists Joan Jett and Lita Ford, had now been stripped down to a quartet of West, Jett (now on lead vocals and rhythm guitar), Ford, and new bassist Vicki Blue. The group had also recently broken ties with longtime manager/producer Kim Fowley (a bizarre music industry veteran and hype-master, who helped launch the LA punk scene with friend/DJ Rodney Bingenheimer), as well as its record label, Mercury. This blog is merely an index with public links for audio recordings of independent origin (ROIO) which have not been officially released. No audio or video content is hosted here. We only provide meta information files for the ROIOs. If you're an artist (or a legal representative of an artist or its estate) and you don't want your ROIOs shared on this blog for FREE among your fans, you may opt out any time by sending e-mail to the site admin. We will then put you in our list of not allowed artists. This will halt all sharing of your ROIOs in this blog within minutes. BTW, the ROIOs exist, you can't make them vanish. So, why not let your fans get them for free from one another instead of having to purchase them from commercial bootleggers on auction sites?
