Notes: Beck toured Japan for three weeks in November 1978 with an ad-hoc group consisting of Clarke and newcomers Tony Hymas (keyboards) and Simon Phillips (drums) from Jack Bruce's band. Work then began on a new studio album at The Who's Ramport Studios in London and continued sporadically throughout 1979, resulting in There and Back in June 1980. It featured three tracks composed and recorded with Jan Hammer, while five were written with Hymas. Stanley Clarke was replaced by Mo Foster on bass, both on the album and the subsequent tours. Its release was followed by extensive touring in the USA, Japan and the UK.<-(Info taken from wikipedia).

Notes: Lineage -> Original Factory Pressed Silver Discs - Sirene-066. Description: Review: Roar Ends . This is one of my favorite concerts, and the Siréne guys have done well. The sound quality is excellent and this show, in a snapshot, illustrates what the Pink Floyd had become.
This show and the July 4 Madison Square Garden CD show how their fans had changed from just enjoying the ride to being demanding and obnoxious. In "Pigs on the Wing, Pt. 2" Roger berates fans for "shooting off fireworks and shouting and screaming" and you can't blame him. At the end of "Money" he urges the crowd to "take it easy" and "don't worry about it, I don't...well I do, but I wish I didn't", to "Just cause there's a few assholes down front doesn't mean everbody has to get upset".

At the start of "Us and Them" Roger urges "this is a quiet song so let's get quiet and try to end this thing peacefully". When they end with a blues number, something that hadn't been done for years he says "We're not noted as a blues band but we're just going to play a slow blues number so everyone can calm down".
The songs are superb, this is the last set of the '77 tour and if you compare the earlier '77 concerts with this one they have pulled it all together. Really good and tight ending to "Pigs, 3 different ones" where Rodger alledgedly spits on a fan and taunts "Come Boy".
This is the same recording as the Ayanami recording "The End of Animals", though this one, being spread over 3 discs contains more audience. At one point the taper urges someone to stick around.
A bit later the second person, apparently becoming aware that the taper is taping the concert asks to meet him later, which goes like this, "I live in Toronto".."Huh".."I live in Toronto"..."that's not a problem".
Azimuth Coordinator Part II is a differnt recording and is the same as "Fireworks in the Canadian Woods". This is my summary of these CDs; Azimuth Coordinator is nice since you are in the middle of the audience, at times during "Us and Them" the music is drowned out by the crowd noise. But the blues number is not on these two discs, you find it on the end of Azimuth Coordinator Part III.

"Fireworks in the Canadian Woods" is from the same source but contains more audience, where you hear people yelling "Echoes", Astronomy Domine", "The Embryo", and "Pink Floyd is God".
Unfortunately the blues number fades out before, the audience starts to boo because the equipment is being taken apart, with the woman yelling "F**k you" and "Booooo". "Roar Ends" and "The End of Animals" are from a different source than "Azimuth Coordinator" and "Fireworks".
This source has a better sound quality and is complete. But where, on "Azimuth" and "Fireworks" the "F**k You" is right next to the taper on "Roar Ends" and "The End of Animals" this is far in the distance. For sound quality "Roar Ends" and "The End of Animals" are preferred, for that middle of the audience feeling "Azimuth" and "Fireworks" are better. All are truly awesome. Ripped by:BB aka TFK!.

Notes: This show has been previously released on the very popular Bootleg “Thank Your Lucky Stars” on the Big Music Label. This release lists this recording as being from the Universal Amphitheater on Aug. 26th but it has been proven to be from Irvine Meadows on the 28th. There are some audience sources for the two Universal Amphitheater shows which helped to prove the correct date. There are a few fan made versions of “Thank Your Lucky Stars” with different artwork floating around Godfather Records has released this recording in their signature gatefold packaging with numerous high quality pictures of the band. The artwork and pictures capture the overall essence of the band and do justice to the music contained within the packaging. I already had this release as “Thank Your Lucky Stars” and I have to say I’m very pleased with Godfather’s version. They’ve done well and I couldn’t be any happier. I know this release will definitely please many fans of The Smiths as well as those who already have “Thank Your Lucky Stars”. Good job Godfather, you released a recording I could not refuse..<-(Info taken from colelctors music reviews).

Notes: The Wanderer from Tarantura documents Aerosmith’s first ever concert in Japan. The first date of the Japanese Tour was originally scheduled for January 28th in Tokyo but was cancelled due to unknown reasons.

This is another excellent recording from Mr. Peach. Even though it is a bit distant, the quality of his recordings always have a certain “punchiness” to them making them very enjoyable. The performance is a bit sloppy in places, perhaps the band were still getting comfortable in their foreign surroundings but Aerosmith has always been a little rough around the edges even on their good nights. What they do bring to the table is a good energetic show that comes from the band’s ability to really let loose and go for it. As with most Mr. Peach tapes, the recording is very complete with no loss of music. (Collectors music reviews)

Aerosmith January 29, 1977 Gumma, Japan/Maebashi Sports Center [2CD/newly surfaced/complete AUD] "The Wanderer". Alright Aerofreaks, here it is! I believe this to be a newly surfaced recording of the bands first night in Japan on January 29, 1977! Released by Tarantura in 2011, this recording was made by the inimitable Mr. Peach. I beleive that bits and pieces of this show have surfaced over the years, but never in this quality or this complete.

This was GENEROUSLY sent to me by the ever popular and wonderful fuwafuwatime! I was asked to pass this on by fuwafuwatime for all of you Aeroheads to enjoy for years to come! Lets give fuwafuwatime a "hip hip hooray" and lots of praise! Maybe even a personal message of thanks might be nice! Sit back and enjoy this lost gem! Notes: Excellent FM Broadcast from Rod's 1983 Camouflage tour. The last track on each CD has several minutes (30+) of silence after the song as whoever I bought this from didn't stop the track after the song was over. Otherwise, this is an A+. (taken from original nfo file).

*** European Tour 1968 ***

Personnel: Jimi Hendrix :: Noel Redding :: Mitch Mitchell.

Notes: - Audience recording - low generation - REMASTERED (!?) - Taped by Adriano Assanti Gironda - Lineage: Original bootleg CD -> EAC -> WAV -> FLAC - FULL Artwork included!.

There are some noticeable differences between this version and the original, torrented on CTT in August 2010. I Don't Live Today & Wild Thing are both presented as one track (on the original they are cut in two). The 2nd show, instead of being presented as one track only, is now divided into three. The sound is also different. Bootleg version sounds like it has been EQ-d. They seem to have tried to elliminate tape-hiss and hall-echo by removing both the low and high end frequencies, consequently making the tape sound very thin.

The Jimi Hendrix Experience played a total of four dates in Italy during May 1968. May 23rd at the Piper Club in Milano was followed by two dates, May 24th and 25th in Rome at the Teatro Brancaccio and wrapping up May 26th at Palasport in Bologna. Titan Top Show from Godfather documents a newly surfaced audience tape from Rome on May 25th. The source is distant with some faint nearby conversation picked up at times but still offers a good listenable document. Rome is a good tight but loose performance from the Experience with the band in top form.

The tape starts out sounding very distant but slowly clears up during “I Don’t Live Today” and by the second track, “Hey Joe”; the quality improves and stays relatively clear for the remainder of the tape. It was around this time that “Stone Free” started making its way back into the set on a more regular basis. The inclusion of “Manic Depression” is also a treat considering the track was only played a small handful of times after this and contains a short drum solo in the middle, to the delight of the audience.

Titan Top Show is another excellent Godfather title beautifully packaged in a tri-fold sleeve with stills from the actual performance. It includes a four page insert with some interesting photos including a picture of the venue and an advertisement for the event. In spite of it being a somewhat distant recording it is nice to have an undocumented show on silver disc and is a fascinating new addition to the Hendrix catalog

*** 1976 Tour Of Japan & Europe with Crazy Horse ***

Personnel: Neil Young - vocals, acoustic guitar, electric guitar, keyboards, guitjo, harmonica :: Frank Sampedro - guitar, keyboards, vocals :: Billy Talbot - bass, vocals :: Ralph Molina - drums, vocals.

Notes: This was Young’s first visit to Japan and he played seven shows in Nagoya, Osaka, Fukuoka, and Tokyo. All of the shows have been taped and many pressed. The most recent releases include Another Osaka (Screamer), which contains half of the March 4th show, and GFK (Watch Tower) containing the Fukuoka tape. Wet Show, one of two recent Neil Young releases on the Tarantura label, contains a brand new complete audience recording. An older excellent audience recording exists and was released several years ago on You Are Just A Dream (F*!#in’ Up FUPCD-2001/2002), but is missing the second encore “Cortez The Killer.” Wet Show legitimately has the second encore and for the first time this show is complete. The sound quality is simply stunning. It is a three dimensional stereo audience recording taped right in front of the stage. The balance between the instruments and audience is perfect, and is detailed enough to pick up Young’s off-mic comments.<-(Info taken from collectorsmusicreviews.com). ::::: This recording of the first show of 1976 Japanese Tour is from a previously uncirculated master and contains a previously uncirculated second encore of Cortez The Killer. This is a recent release from the apparently exclusive Tarantura label and is supposed to be direct from the original cassette masters. The sound is stellar.<-(Info taken from original info file).

This blog is merely an index with public links for audio recordings of independent origin (ROIO) which have not been officially released. No audio or video content is hosted here. We only provide meta information files for the ROIOs. If you're an artist (or a legal representative of an artist or its estate) and you don't want your ROIOs shared on this blog for FREE among your fans, you may opt out any time by sending e-mail to the site admin. We will then put you in our list of not allowed artists. This will halt all sharing of your ROIOs in this blog within minutes. BTW, the ROIOs exist, you can't make them vanish. So, why not let your fans get them for free from one another instead of having to purchase them from commercial bootleggers on auction sites?
